Tifa turned slowly after Denzel did, knowing the sound of Fenrir as well or better than the boy did.

And she noticed something different.

Cloud looked the same, on the outside - thin, wiry, hair going in every direction - but something in his eyes had changed.

His words had the same effect. The undertone of helplessness from before his trip to the Forgotten City was gone, replaced by confidence and a will to live.

That was the Cloud she loved - the man who would go down fighting, regardless of the odds. It was good to have him back.
