Togetherness

The silence between them as they watched the sunrise was as necessary as the words they'd spoken most of the night. Tifa sighed and snuggled closer to Cloud; he pulled the blanket closer around her. The color in the sky was magnificent, fingers of orange and purple stretching across the sky from the East.

"You should get some sleep," he murmured.

"Mm," she agreed, but neither of them moved.

The sun was well above the horizon by the time Marlene and Denzel, ready for breakfast, found them, fast asleep on the roof of Seventh Heaven.

They went back in, smiling.
