It was starting to get warm again. Cloud could feel it in the air that blew back his hair and the sleeve on his arm as Fenrir roared through the countryside. He was glad of that; winter just wasn't his favorite season, and it was harder to move in the cold.

He was grateful for the church; it was the right temperature, no matter the season, which was good, because he hadn't brought much with him when he'd left Seventh Heaven, and he hadn't supplemented with much more than food and fuel.

It wasn't enough, of course; he was still surprised at how much he missed Tifa, Marlene, and Denzel - not to mention the others. At least, with the warmer weather, Tifa wouldn't sound as worried as she did every time she asked him to keep warm.

She didn't know how much warmth her voice had always supplied him. Even in the recordings on his phone.
