Author's Notes: This came to me, pretty much complete, while I was making breakfast for my daughters. What does it have to do with that?

Morning

It could no longer be denied; the world outside the paper-covered window was getting lighter. Cloud murmured a sleepy protest and curled closer to her, and she stroked his hair.

It had been a long night, but it was time to get up. He had deliveries to make; long distance ones, because he didn't plan to be back until tomorrow. She nudged his shoulder and he groaned before rolling out of bed. He swept her lips with his in a good-morning kiss, then padded toward the bathroom to start getting ready.

She got up and walked toward the window, pushing the papered glass up to let in fresh air. Looking out over Wutai's main square, Yuffie wondered - not for the first time - how Tifa and Barret were doing in Edge.
